The following resources give you access to valuable health care information to help you make sound health care decisions.
Healthy Living, powered by WebMD® – provides online information that makes it easier for you to stay healthy. It includes health assessments, links to articles, product alerts and recalls, tools and calculators. Healthy Living also offers interactive online programs allowing you to access items such as tracking tools for your diet, fitness and medication needs.
Free Online Health Publications
Healthcare AdvisorSM – The Healthcare Advisor provides extensive health care information designed to help Plan members understand and manage various health conditions and treatment procedures. The Healthcare Advisor web site also provides profiles of health care facilities to help visitors assess where to best receive care, based on their needs and preferences. This site is for Plan members only, so you will need a password. Your password is the last four digits of your group policy number found on your Plan medical ID card. Visit the Healthcare Advisor.
MedCall Nurse Hotline & Audio Library
– When you have concerns about your health,
call MedCall. MedCall's nurse counselors are available around the clock to answer your questions or listen to your
health concerns, in confidence. You can also listen to audiotapes on numerous health care topics. Certain topics

Inpatient Hospital Safety Initiatives
– Medical errors are more prevalent in
hospitals than you may realize. The Institute of Medicine reports that many of these errors are preventable.
In response to this problem, the Leapfrog Group has developed four initiatives to help hospitals
reduce preventable medical mistakes. Learn about Leapfrog's initiatives and find out which hospitals use these safety practices to protect patients. This information will also help you select a hospital if you should need inpatient hospital care.
Physician Tiering (for non-Medicare members only) – Tier 1 physicians in Massachusetts are those who have demonstrated quality and/or efficiency in their practices. Members in our Basic, PLUS and Community Choice Plans have a lower office visit copay when they use Tier 1 physicians.
Physician Profiles
– This links to a web site that provides you with information on
practicing physicians licensed in Massachusetts. This independent site is maintained by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine
and displays information drawn from their extensive database of licensed physicians. The search page is easy to use and
provides information such as physicians' education, affiliations and recent malpractice history. Click here to visit
